Write the vision and make it plain on tablets, that he may run who reads it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time; but at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry. (Habakkuk 2:2–3)

I am struck by the love of God! I am learning its value every day. It is the most amazing phenomenon in creation. It will rock your world and cause you to understand unknowable things!

Christ as a Son over His own house, whose house we are if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm to the end. (Hebrews 3:6)

Going through various trials can seem grievous. So often, Christians use “rebuke” as a cure all, but there is a purpose for difficulty in your life.

The apostle Paul was not afraid nor excessively concerned with what others thought about his apparent weakness. He had come to the realization that by depending on God, human weakness was not a liability but rather an aid to receiving and discerning the power of Christ. With pleasure, he boasted in his infirmities knowing the result of his weakness was the resting presence of Christ!

The Truth and the lie are not equally opposing forces! They are opposites, not parallels; they are moving in different directions. Truth is also a clear portrait of repentance which speaks of a complete about-face. The Truth and the lie are 180 degrees from each other. They are polar opposites.

Jesus is teaching us to value the things of God. So often we tend not to put a premium on the things of the Lord. Jesus speaks to the disciples and tells them that as His servants, they have worth. They are the carriers of the glorious blessings of the King. In this we are also like the disciples: we now carry the glorious blessings of the King!

The character and nature of the Lord is described in the following passage found in Nehemiah 9:17, “But You are God, ready to pardon, gracious and merciful, slow to anger, abundant in kindness.” These are qualities seen only in the Lord our God, therefore, we give and receive forgiveness based upon His presence alone.

Process is defined as a systematic series of actions directed toward a specific end. Typically, it describes the act of taking something or someone through an established and usually routine set of procedures to convert the person or thing from one form to another.

When Paul speaks these words, he has just finished teaching the great truth of God and His great wisdom and knowledge, and now he is exalting in the Holy Spirit. The “Him” in “of Him,” many scholars will tell you, is the Father, but I want to offer to you that it is both Father and Son. When God wants to say something to us, He always says it through Jesus. He has nothing to say except through His Son.

As Isaiah said before: Unless the LORD of Sabaoth had left us a seed, we would have become like Sodom, and we would have been made like Gomorrah. (Romans 9:29)

This is a telling title of a prophetic people throughout many centuries who are the result of an act of kindness that God in His sovereign grace poured out on them from the treasures of His infinite goodness several millennia ago!

Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful; but his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in his law he meditates day and night. (Psalm 1:1-2)

For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God. (Romans 8:18-19)

During times of crises, there is a heightened awareness of God. There seems to be a renewed interest in calling on God, even publicly. Gone is the hyper-sensitivity to political correctness regarding God.

Our God is the Living God as opposed to gods constructed by men’s hands or produced by the imaginations of their wicked hearts and the blindness of their minds.
