Our Founding

Establishment
Corpus Christi Christian Fellowship was established in 1986 by the Lord through our Senior Pastor, Donald G. Leavell.
We began by gathering in a home, then a gymnasium, a store front, and finally our permanent location at 6602 South Staples.
This is a place where Jesus is preached with clarity and simplicity, where we endeavor to seek the Lord.
God’s Vision to Pastor Don
The Lord spoke to Pastor Don saying, “I want a place where all of My children can worship Me together.” When asked, how that could be done, the Lord said, “Love everyone who comes through your doors.”
With this in mind, we have endeavored to be a church that everyone could call home.
Pastor Don’s Charge to Prospective Members
The Lord has called His body here, at The Fellowship, to walk in His ways and to live consecrated lives. A consecrated life is a life that honors the Lord Jesus. It involves knowing that you have been set apart by the Lord; it includes being diligent about making choices in line with God's Word, and it means abstaining from immoral, unscrupulous, or illegal activities. With this commitment in the forefront, you will not bring dishonor or reproach to the name of the Lord Jesus or to His Body at The Fellowship.
And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him. (Colossians 3:17)
As obedient children, not conforming yourselves to the former lusts, as in your ignorance, but as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, because it is written, "Be holy, for I am holy." (1 Peter 1:14-16)
Membership Requirements
Everyone is welcome at Corpus Christi Christian Fellowship! Membership,
however, comes with two simple requirements.
You Must Be
Born Again.
You must be born again.
“Jesus answered and said to him, ‘Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.’ Nicodemus said to Him, ‘How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born?’ Jesus answered, ‘Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.’”

You Must Be Totally Committed to the Lord.
You must be totally committed to the Lord, fully relying on Him as you grow in righteousness, knowing that “it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure” and making “no provision for the flesh.”

If we walk as the Lord directs us, we will see His Kingdom being established in our lives and in our spheres of influence; thus will He affect our world for His glory.
